Skopje, 5 December 2023 (MIA) - Health Minister Fatmir Mexhiti has taken part at the 28th session of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), saying the goal of the ministerial meeting, attended by over 100 countries worldwide, is to unify activities and approaches to climate change at a global level.

Within the framework of the conference, Minister Mexhiti met with UAE Health Minister Abdul Rahman bin Muhammad Al Awais, which marks the first meeting between ministers from North Macedonia and the UAE, the Ministry of Health said in a press release.

"At the meeting, we expressed enthusiasm for cooperation and decided to form a committee under the two ministries that will prepare a memorandum for cooperation. The memorandum will strengthen cooperation through healthcare, with the aim of exchanging experiences and knowledge for improving the healthcare system in both countries," Mexhiti said. ssh/ik/
