Mexhiti - Miljanić: Building partnership and path to European integration
- First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Environment and Physical Planning Izet Mexhiti met Thursday with the Ambassador of Montenegro, Zoran Miljanić, discussing opportunities for economic development through cooperation between North Macedonia and Montenegro, the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning said in a press release.
Skopje, 24 October 2024 (MIA) - First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Environment and Physical Planning Izet Mexhiti met Thursday with the Ambassador of Montenegro, Zoran Miljanić, discussing opportunities for economic development through cooperation between North Macedonia and Montenegro, the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning said in a press release.
Ambassador Miljanić said the meeting was an excellent opportunity to highlight the importance of relations and strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
"Interlocutors discussed possibilities for economic development through cooperation between North Macedonia and Montenegro, highlighting the need for identifying joint projects that will promote investments and contribute to sustainable growth of the economies of the two countries. Mexhiti and Miljanić agreed that tourism, energy, and agriculture sectors offer great potential for cooperation," the press release reads.
Talks also focused on the path to EU membership. Both countries, the press release adds, are committed to fulfilling the necessary criteria and advancing reform processes, with mutual cooperation being key to achieving this joint goal.
Minister Mexhiti reaffirmed commitment to strengthening relations with Montenegro and working together towards a successful future in Europe. ssh/nn/
