Skopje, 16 November 2024 (MIA) - First Deputy PM Izet Mexhiti has congratulated Albania on its EU accession path and accuses the previous government in North Macedonia for poor management that has resulted in the country losing ground to Tirana.
"First, I am pleased that Albania has made progress. Second, I wish North Macedonia to soon join this path. The standstill is a result of the poor management over the past eight years by the ones who are now in opposition," Deputy PM Mexhiti told RTK.
According to him, one of the key priorities on the EU path is the inclusion of Bulgarians in the Constitution but also judiciary reforms and implementation of other recommendations provided by the international community, which "the government is trying to realize".
Mexhiti notes that the EU path is a priority for the Government.
