Skopje, 11 March 2024 (MIA) — The MEPSO Electricity Transmission System Operator of the Republic of North Macedonia's website is back online after last week's cyber attack.

On March 7, the state-owned company said it had been a target of a cyber attack, but stressed that the integrity of the power grid and the supply of electricity had not been threatened. It said its critical energy infrastructure remained secure and fully functional.

MEPSO said they reported the incident to all relevant institutions in line with cybersecurity regulations.

Minister of Transport and Communications Blagoj Bochvarski then said international experts were helping the company overcome the problem. mr/
