Skopje, 20 February 2023 (MIA) - MEPSO director Orhan Murtezani and USAID representative Faruk Serdarevic signed Monday a memorandum of cooperation by which MEPSO begins a procedure for the procurement of new SCADA/EMS system (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition/Energy Management System).

MEPSO said it will finance the system from its own funds, and USAID will provide a grant for consulting services. 

Recognizing the importance MEPSO has in providing efficient and reliable management of North Macedonia's energy system, USAID's support in this process is of exceptional importance. According to the signed memorandum, USAID will provide a grant for consulting services that will help MEPSO in the preparation of technical specifications, tendering and full implementation of the new SCADA/EMS system, MEPSO said in a press release.
