MEPs Schieder, Walsmann and Kyuchyuk visit Parliament ahead of next round of Jean Monnet Dialogue

Skopje, 21 June 2023 (MIA) - Members of the European Parliament (MEPs), Andreas Schieder, Marion Walsmann and Ilhan Kyuchyuk paid Wednesday a visit to the Parliament, in the framework of the Jean Monnet Dialogue, with the mission of assessing progress in the process of amending the Rules of Procedures and to prepare for the next round of the Dialogue this fall.
Over the past couple of days, MEPs held productive meetings with Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi, Vice-Speakers Goran Misovski and Husni Ismaili, as well as whips and other members of the Jean Monnet Dialogue working group, the Parliament said in a press release.
The Speaker and the MEPs expressed satisfaction from the pending completion of the process to amend the Parliament's Rules of Procedures, resulting from the commitment of the institution's leadership and all political parties.
Interlocutors agreed that amendments to the Rules of Procedures should be finalized and adopted as soon as possible, so that the Parliament becomes more efficient, transparent and effective, while meeting the citizens' EU aspirations.
Speaker Xhaferi and the visiting MEPs agreed that the next round of the Jean Monnet Dialogue takes place in France this fall, reads the press release.
