Skopje, 8 September 2023 (MIA) - North Macedonia's path to independence was not merely a struggle for political autonomy but a testimony of the enduring power of unity, says Member of European Parliament (MEP) and North Macedonia Rapporteur, Ilhan Kyuchyuk in his Independence Day greeting.

"You have proven that your strength lies in your ability to come together, overcome differences and build a united country. Independence Day serves as a reminder that your progress as a nation is an ongoing journey. You have achieved a lot but there is still work to be done. Let's continue to build a society that thrives on diversity, embraces inclusion and upholds the principles of justice and equality for all," says Kyuchyuk.

Kyuchyuk says the Macedonian people should be proud of its achievements, recalling that the commitment to building a common future in the EU, where dreams of coming generations can flourish without limitations, is the foundation of all efforts for cooperation and goodneighborly relations.
