Memov: Elections partially fair and democratic; despite obstacles, we achieved campaign goals

Skopje, 24 April 2024 (MIA) – ZNAM Movement spokesperson Nikola Memov today at a press conference assessing the electoral process, said that the elections are partially fair and democratic. Memov highlighted media bias and political pressure on their candidate Maksim Dimitrievski.

"The political pressure on our presidential candidate, through a contrived legal process, for defending the public interest against the business interests of government-backed firms. Mr. Dimitrievski has been repeatedly summoned to court hearings and interrogated by the Prosecutor's Office during the campaign, solely to undermine his personal reputation and disrupt the momentum of our campaign," Memov said.

As he noted, regardless of these obstructions, ZNAM Movement has fulfilled the election campaign objectives. He noted that they will press forward with an intensified pace towards the parliamentary elections on May 8.

"I want to express my gratitude to all our members and supporters with a message that we continue to move forward with even greater momentum towards the parliamentary elections on May 8," Memov added.

"I call on citizens to continue giving their support to ZNAM, as we move forward," Memov said.
