Skopje, 15 November 2023 (MIA) - The Management Committee of COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) will hold a meeting Wednesday in Skopje, with Minister of Education and Science, Jeton Shaqiri.

On Tuesday, Minister Shaqiri met with the Ronald de Bruin, Director of the COST Association at the Ministry of Education and Science.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that the participation of scientific research professionals from North Macedonia in 67 out of a total of 70 COST actions, conducted in the past two months, establishes the country as one of the most active participants in this program among the countries in the region.

Also in attendance at the meeting were our country's representative in the Management Committee of this program, Prof. Dr. Zoran Popovski, and the director of the National Council for Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Gordana Lazhetikj.

The European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) is an intergovernmental organization established in 1971. It is the longest-running European funding framework for international cooperation in research and science across Europe. North Macedonia has been a member of COST since 2002.
