Skopje, 23 July 2024 (MIA) - The average monthly net wage in May was Mden 41,252 (EUR 670), a 13.1-percent increase compared to the same month in 2023, the State Statistical Office said on Tuesday.

This increase is caused by the increase of the average monthly net wage paid per employee in the sectors: Education (19.6%), Arts, entertainment and recreation (19.0%) and Public administration and defence; compulsory social security (16.3%).

An increase in the average monthly net wage paid per employee compared to the previous month was recorded in the sectors: Mining and quarrying (5.7%), Accommodation and food service activities (4.4%) and Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (4.3%).
