Marichikj-Oberhuber: Support and cooperation with GIZ on EU path
Skopje, 26 October 2022 (MIA) – Deputy PM for European Affairs Bojan Marichikj met Wednesday with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) country director David Oberhuber, discussing successful cooperation with Federal Republic of Germany – North Macedonia’s strategic economic and political partner – through GIZ operations. Marichikj and Oberhuber reviewed possibilities for cooperation in relevant fields of European integration and other sectors in the interest of Macedonian institutions, the Secretariat for European Affairs said in a press release. Marichikj highlighted the specific benefits of the cooperation with GIZ, noting their various knowledge and expertise are exceptionally important, whereas transferred experiences are applicable, especially in light of the start of the EU accession negotiations. Interlocutors also reaffirmed the importance and significance of continued support and cooperation with GIZ in the strengthening of North Macedonia’s institutional and economic capacities, which is important for the country’s advancement of the reform agenda and the EU integration process, reads the press release.
