Marichikj-Lührmann: Focus of reforms and joint commitment on EU path
Skopje, 5 October 2022 (MIA) – Germany remains our partner and strong supporter of the Euro-integration process. We will jointly respond to the challenges ahead this winter and overcome them through proper coordination and cooperation, said Deputy PM for European Affairs Bojan Marichikj at Wednesday’s meeting with Minister of State for Europe and Climate at the German Federal Foreign Office, Anna Lührmann. Deputy PM Marichikj and Minister Lührmann discussed bilateral relations, political developments in the region and its European prospects, the Secretariat for European Affairs said in a press release. Marichikj thanked Lührmann for Germany’s continued support to the progress of both North Macedonia and Albania. Lührmann reaffirmed Germany’s support to North Macedonia’s successful process of accession negotiations, noting that the country should remain focused on the European path through swift implementation of reforms and achievement of the ultimate goal – EU membership. Interlocutors also exchanged opinions on bilateral relations, expecting them to enhance in the coming period, in the form of support to the process of negotiations, reads the press release.
