Marichikj-Davidoiu: EU negotiating process must continue

Skopje, 22 March 2023 (MIA) - Deputy PM for European Affairs Bojan Marichikj met Wednesday with Romania's Special Representative for the Western Balkans, Adrian Davidoiu, discussing North Macedonia's European integration, bilateral cooperation and regional developments.
Marichikj thanked Davidoiu for Romania's support to North Macedonia's Euro-integration process, noting that any type of further support is welcome, the Secretariat for European Affairs said in a press release.
Davidoiu, who was accompanied by Romanian Ambassador to North Macedonia, Monica Axinte, reaffirmed the country's progress and expressed assurance that the positive political momentum would be utilized through completion of the constitutional changes and continuation of the negotiating process.
The Deputy PM briefed the Romanian Special Representative on the course of the screening and the roadmaps for current reforms that should resume with accelerated dynamics, "so that we deliver results and accelerate the country's European path."
Davidoiu said Romania stands ready to provide expert assistance in many fields of the negotiating process, including fight against corruption, judiciary and cybersecurity, reads the press release.
