Marichikj: MEPs approve up to EUR 100 million in Macro-financial assistance to North Macedonia

Skopje, 13 June 2023 (MIA) - Deputy PM for European Affairs Bojan Marichikj said Tuesday that EUR 100 million in European funds have been approved for North Macedonia.
"The EU demonstrates its commitment to North Macedonia, EUR 100 million in European funds have been approved. Today, the European Union and the Europan institution once again showed their support for our country. The MEPs endorsed by a majority of votes the European Commission’s proposal to provide Macro-financial assistance to North Macedonia in support to the Macedonian economy from the consequences of Russia's military aggression against Ukraine," Marichikj posted on Facebook.
He thanked the EU, noting that it has always stood in solidarity in times of crisis as a partner in the economic and social transformation of the Macedonian society towards faster progress and achieving results that bring the country closer to the EU.
