Skopje, 28 October 2021 (MIA) – Minister of Justice Bojan Marichikj said that next year the budget for the judiciary and prosecution will increase. He told the “Morning Briefing” show on Thursday that the salaries of judges and prosecutors will go up, adding that vacancies in these institutions will be filled. “In regard to an 8% decrease of the 2020 judiciary budget compared to 2019, I’d like to clarify that this is not a reduction of operative funds, but due to the fact that additional Mden 120 million were allocated to the 2019 budget to pay judges’ benefits. Considering the fact that this was a single payment from the 2019 budget, additional funds were not allocated to the 2020 budget,” Marichikj underlined.
