Skopje, 11 April 2024 (MIA) - First Deputy PM for European Affairs Bojan Marichikj alongside Culture Minister Bisera Kostadinovska Stojchevska attended the opening of the first Erasmus+ info center of the National Agency for European Educational Programs and Mobility in Bitola on Thursday, the Secretariat for European Affairs said in a press release.
Marichikj pointed out that from now on in Bitola, young people from different regions in the country will have access to a place where they can get direct information about the Erasmus+ programme, as one of the EU's most successful programs.
"Everyone who want to get involved in the programme can get information in this center on how to best make their ideas part of the opportunities for greater mobility, acquire greater expertise and knowledge in accord with their peers and colleagues from the other European countries. Europe and the European perspective is the only option for young people, and Erasmus+, as always, remains an inspiration along with the wide spectrum of opportunities for pupils, students, educational staff, organizations and institutions," Marichikj noted.
He stressed that young people's European future is the Government’s priority, which is fully committed to affirming the benefits available from the membership in this European program in achieving that goal.
"The Erasmus+ programme, for this year alone, foresees a budget of more than EUR 6 million for Macedonian projects from a wide spectrum of initiatives in education, trainings, youth and sports under the same conditions as young people from the EU member-states," the First Deputy PM said. ssh/nn/
