Skopje, 9 August 2021 (MIA) – A 60-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing arson in a village in Debar region, western North Macedonia. The man, whose initials were revealed as B.M., yesterday around 6:30 pm was caught by a police patrol near a burnt field in the village of Bomovo, the Interior Ministry said Monday. The patrol, joined by fire brigade and forest police from Debar, started extinguishing the fire, burning forest trees and vegetation. “In coordination with a public prosecutor, he will be charged with starting a forest fire,” said the Ministry.
