Macron goes back to Ukraine's Zelensky after speaking with Putin
Paris, 20 February 2022 (dpa/MIA) — French President Emmanuel Macron has spoken with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, following a lengthy conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Macron spoke with Putin for around one hour and 45 minutes, according to the Élysée Palace on Sunday. No information was given on the contents of the conversation. It was Macron's second conversation with Zelensky in as many days. In the previous talks, the Ukrainian leader underlined his country's openness to dialogue amid fears that Russia may be on the verge of an invasion. He vowed not to react to provocation by separatists loyal to Moscow.
