Macedonians in Mala Prespa and Golo Brdo receive government donation

Debar, 16 January 2023 (MIA) – The Macedonian Embassy in Tirana handed over Monday the first portion of the donation provided by the Macedonian government for the pupils and schools in the Golo Brdo and Mala Prespa regions of Albania.

“School bags and school supplies, as well as heating equipment for the classrooms make up a portion of the wider list of items needed by the Macedonian community in Albania, which will be successively delivered in the coming days,” the Makedonium newspaper wrote.

Citing the Macedonian Embassy in Tirana, the newspaper added that the Macedonians in Golo Brdo were particularly pleased with Ambassador Dancho Markovski for the provided bulldozer, that will allow the citizens to clear impassable snow covers during the winter, which often cut off these areas from the rest of the country.

“The meetings with the representative of the Macedonian Alliance for European Integration party, Macedonian associations, teachers and the local self-government officials were used to exchange opinions and ideas for further deepening of the activities for the preservation of the Macedonian ethnic, linguistic and cultural uniqueness and the ties with Macedonia,” the newspaper wrote. ad/sk/
