Macedonian nationals in Abu Dhabi to be evacuated by charter flights, details being finalized

Skopje, 3 March 2026 (MIA) – The Embassy of the Republic of North Macedonia in Abu Dhabi, in coordination with the authorities in the United Arab Emirates, is actively working to finalize the details regarding the organization of charter flights for the evacuation of the Macedonian citizens, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade said Tuesday evening.
All citizens interested in evacuation who have not yet registered are urged to contact the Embassy in Abu Dhabi as soon as possible using the following contact details:

“The safety of Macedonian citizens remains our highest priority. Registered persons will be informed in a timely manner about all further steps and conditions for the safe implementation of the evacuation,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade said.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, citing latest data, said that a total of 473 Macedonian nationals had contacted diplomatic and consular missions of the Republic of North Macedonia in Tel Aviv, Doha and Abu Dhabi since the beginning of the conflict to date.
"Of these, 19 people have reported being stranded in Israel, 106 in Qatar, while 348 have contacted the diplomatic and consular mission in Abu Dhabi. This number also includes 18 people in Kuwait, as well as 12 people in Bahrain," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade said in a press release.
