Belgrade, 19 July 2024 (MIA) - A Macedonian national was killed, while four other persons were injured in a car accident near Serbia's Leskovac, MIA reports from Belgrade.

Serbian media report that the driver lost control of the vehicle and hit the road barrier, which then penetrated into the car.

A female passenger, the driver's wife, was killed, while their two children aged 4 and 2, the driver and another woman were injured.

The family from North Macedonia returned from vacation to Slovenia, where they currently reside.

According to doctors in the Leskovac hospital, the 28-year-old driver and one of the children were left with bruises, whereas the other child is suspected of suffering a fracture of the femur.

Investigation into the accident is underway.
