Manchester, 19 June 2023 (MIA) – The Macedonian national football team will face England at Old Trafford on Monday at 8:45pm, as part of the fourth round of the UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying tournament.

The footballers called up by head coach Blagoja Milevski said they would invest maximum efforts to continue the tradition and remain undefeated in the national team’s third match away in England. 

In 2002, the Macedonian national team, led by head coach Nikola Ilievski, held England to a 2-2 draw in Southampton. Four years later, head coach Srečko Katanec led the team to a 0-0 draw against the Three Lions in Manchester.

After the first two matches in the current qualifications, the Macedonian national team is fourth in Group C with three points, six less than England, which holds the top spot in the group.
