Looking forward to welcoming you in EU with your unique identity and Macedonian language: EC chief
Brussels, 29 October 2023 (MIA) - As North Macedonia makes progress on reforms, it makes its way to the EU, said European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen after Sunday's meeting with President Stevo Pendarovski.
"As you progress on reforms, you are making your way to the EU. We are looking forward to welcoming you, your unique identity and your language, the Macedonian language," von der Leyen wrote on X.
The EC chief is starting a four-day visit to the Western Balkans in Skopje.
