Skopje, 15 March 2024 (MIA) – During our official visit to Turkey we were told that the court procedures related to the extradition of Ljupcho Palevski-Palcho has been completed, with only the administrative procedures remaining. Based on their regulations, it must first be signed by their Ministry of Interior, and then by their Minister of Justice, said Justice Minister Krenar Lloga on Friday.
Minister Lloga told reporters that according to his Turkish counterpart, the extradition is expected to be completed soon.
“They gave us a timeframe, but I wouldn’t like to share such details since this depends on them and not us,” said the Minister.
Asked if anything additional has been requested from North Macedonia regarding the extradition, Lloga said there hasn’t been any additional official communication.
“There is no additional official communication except for the fact that all these things are concluded since all procedures are on time. We’ve had unofficial communication and today we asked for additional information over when the extradition would happen,” said Lloga.
Ljupcho Palevski-Palcho has been detained in Turkey for more than three months. He is the main suspect in the kidnapping and murder of 14-year-old Vanja Gjorchevska and 74-year-old Panche Zhezhovski.
