Lloga – Tiganj: Broad consensus of all parties needed over EU reform path

Skopje, 12 June 2023 (MIA) – A broad consensus of all parties, both from the Government and the opposition, over the European reform path is necessary, concluded Minister of Justice Krenar Lloga and the Croatian Ambassador to North Macedonia, Nives Tiganj, at a meeting Monday.

In a press release, the Ministry of Justice said the meeting focused on the process of constitutional changes and taking responsibility over the adoption of the decision which will open the path to the great European family. Lloga and Tiganj concluded that this is an irreversible process that has no alternative.

Lloga and Tiganj also spoke about the upcoming Prespa Forum Dialogue, which will be held on June 15-16 in Struga, and will be attended by high international representatives, including the President of Croatia, Zoran Milanović, and the Croatian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gordan Grlić-Radman.

The Justice Minister and the Ambassador, according to the press release, stressed that the Prespa Forum Dialogue will be a good foundation for the deepening of mutual cooperation, strengthening strategic partnerships and the Euro-Atlantic perspective of the region.

Lloga and Tiganj also spoke about the challenges faced by businesses from Croatia who are investing in North Macedonia, and the creation of new jobs.

“The bilateral cooperation will be intensified through the initiation of joint efforts for the realization of projects that will transfer knowledge and skills on European practices,” stressed the Ministry of Justice.
