Ljutkov: Opening new chapter in development of Macedonian-Hungarian cultural ties
- Minister of Culture and Tourism Zoran Ljutkov met Friday in Ohrid with his Hungarian counterpart, Minister of Culture and Innovation Balázs Hankó, who is part of the Hungarian government delegation, led by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, paying a two-day visit to our country, said the Culture Ministry.
Skopje, 27 September 2024 (MIA) – Minister of Culture and Tourism Zoran Ljutkov met Friday in Ohrid with his Hungarian counterpart, Minister of Culture and Innovation Balázs Hankó, who is part of the Hungarian government delegation, led by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, paying a two-day visit to our country, said the Culture Ministry.
Ministers Ljutkov and Hankó called the visit and today’s meeting ‘an important moment’ in the development of bilateral ties, most notably the Macedonian-Hungarian cooperation in the area of culture and tourism through concrete activities.
“The Republic of North Macedonia and Hungary in the coming period will open a new chapter in the development of cultural ties between the two countries and we will make sure it results in a series of projects and initiatives. We’ll make efforts to renew and improve cooperation in the field of culture, work on the program between relevant state bodies and also on the document regulating tourism cooperation between culture institutions,” Ljutkov said at the meeting.
He welcomed the readiness of Minister Hankó for sharing the Hungarian experiences in organizing the Veszprém – European Capital of Culture 2023 event and boosting cooperation between the Creative Europe offices.
The conclusions from the Ljutkov and Hankó bilateral meeting were presented at the joint governmental session between North Macedonia and Hungary.
