Kovachevski-Plenkovic: Croatia strongly supports North Macedonia’s Euro-integration process
Skopje, 6 October 2022 (MIA) – Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski met Thursday with Croatian counterpart Andrej Plenkovic at the sidelines of the European Political Community meeting in Prague, discussing challenges related to the global energy crisis caused by the war in Ukraine, as well as North Macedonia’s European path and the start of accession negotiations.
PM Plenkovic said Croatia is prepared to continue its support to North Macedonia’s reform process and meeting of the required criteria for EU accession, the Government said in a press release.
PM Kovachevski expressed satisfaction from the bilateral economic ties, saying Croatia is North Macedonia’s sincere partner and traditional supporter of its aspirations for integration in the European family.
Interlocutors agreed that the global energy crisis can be overcome through a unified approach and intensive regional cooperation, reads the press release.
