Kovachevski-Petkov: Dialogue for North Macedonia’s European integration resumes
Skopje, 18 February 2022 (MIA) – Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski and Bulgarian counterpart Kiril Petkov met at the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference on Friday, expressing satisfaction from the progress of bilateral cooperation while saying it would intensify. In the attendance of Deputy PM for European Affairs Bojan Marichikj and Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani, the two PMs voiced their content from the progress in bilateral cooperation through the activities of the working groups and the specific activities that have emerged as a result. They also announced that cooperation and dialogue on issues that require political solutions would continue in the coming period, the Government said in a press release. The biggest benefit for both countries and their citizens, it adds, is the sooner delivery of quality solutions supported by the two sides. As NATO allies, Kovachevski and Petkov noted that security in the Western Balkans and Europe is of exceptional importance, and agreed that North Macedonia’s EU integration is a factor of general stability and security, reads the press release.
