Kovachevski-Ludva: Czech support in Euro-integration process, opportunities for enhancement of bilateral cooperation
Skopje, 15 February 2022 (MIA) – Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski met Tuesday with Czech Ambassador Jaroslav Ludva, who reaffirmed his country’s support to North Macedonia’s European path. PM Kovachevski and Ambassador Ludva agreed that North Macedonia has a geostrategic importance, adding that the region’s EU accession maker Europe safer, the Government said in a press release. Kovachevski said the Czech Republic is North Macedonia’s valued partner and supporter of its European perspective after the country joined NATO. “We are committed to an open and sincere communication in the dialogue with the Republic of Bulgaria. EU has recognized the new energy in the talks. We are continuing to work according to the principle of mutual respect while keeping the dignity of both countries, in the spirit of the European values,” said Kovachevski. On the Open Balkan initiative, Ludva shared the experiences of the Visegrad Group and the benefits from establishing good regional cooperation. Interlocutors agreed there are opportunities for enhancement of bilateral cooperation in a number of areas, such as economy and defense, reads the press release.
