Skopje, 27 April 2024 (MIA) – SDSM leader Dimitar Kovachevski, posted on his Facebook profile, stating that April 27 is the darkest day in the history of our democracy, emphasizing that just as they did not give up on this day, they will not give up on May 8 either.
“Let us never forget the images from the bloody Thursday, the images of the perpetrators incited by VMRO-DPMNE who stormed the Parliament, attempted to kill MPs, injure journalists, and parliamentary staff, aiming to destabilize the constitutional order. On April 27, seven years ago, we witnessed how far divisions and hatred, the desire for revenge against all those who think differently, can go. This date serves as a reminder of how easily dangerous, right-wing power can undermine stability and democracy, and regress the state. Back then, we did not give up on the fight for a better future for citizens, for a free and democratic state. We will not give up now either. SDSM is a party made of tough material and always on the right side of history. Just as we didn't give up on April 27, we won't give up on May 8 either. Never again a regime,” wrote SDSM leader Kovachevski on Facebook.
