Skopje, 16 March 2024 (MIA) — SDSM leader Dimitar Kovachevski attended Saturday the opening of SDSM's campaign headquarters in Bitola, where he said that citizens needed European standards and values and that the upcoming elections would decide whether the country stays on the path leading toward prosperity and progress as an EU member state.
"We joined NATO and started negotiations with the EU after 17 years of waiting," he said, adding that SDSM was the only party working to fulfill the country's vision of a European future.
"These elections are crucial for the future of our country and of our children and grandchildren," he said.
"These elections will decide whether we remain on the right path, which leads to a prosperous, developed and European Macedonia, or whether we allow Mickoski and DPMNE to get us stuck in the mud of hopelessness and despair," he said, inviting voters to support SDSM and Stevo Pendarovski in the upcoming elections.
"Stevo Pendarovski is the winning candidate," the SDSM leader said. "He shares our progressive values, having a clear vision for the country's European future." mr/
