Skopje, 14 May 2022 (MIA) - The ministries of foreign affairs of North Macedonia and Bulgaria are exchanging ideas, but have not yet agreed on joint solution that could represent a foundation for mutual agreement, said Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski on Saturday, adding that two countries will not hold a joint government conference on May 22 due to agendas not allowing it. Reaching a solution with Bulgaria, according to Kovachevski, is possible only if it is based on European values, principles of maintaining the dignity of the citizens of both countries and mutual respect between politicians, institutions and citizens. “Unless there is a solution based on these values, there will be no solution. The ministries of foreign affairs of North Macedonia and Bulgaria are exchanging ideas, but have not yet agreed on joint solution that could represent a foundation for mutual agreement and for sharing with institutions in one or the other country,” Kovachevski said, adding that the talks between two countries are still ongoing.
