Skopje, 20 April 2024 (MIA) — SDSM's election platform is based on the goal of North Macedonia joining EU by 2030, with negotiations completed by 2028, SDSM leader Dimitar Kovachevski said in a Sitel TV appearance on Saturday.

According to him, all of the platform's measures and activities are aimed at building a European state with European standards and European services for citizens, much more justice, a much greater fight against corruption, higher salaries and pensions, and a much better life in the country.

Regarding electricity providers' low levels of transparency and efficiency, he said a way to solve this problem was to have citizens become part of the management of these companies.

"Which is why we plan on awarding 49 percent of the state companies, starting with Power Plants of North Macedonia, to all adult citizens of the Republic of North Macedonia. At least 1.3 million citizens will receive Power Plants of North Macedonia shares, and later, shares in other state companies," Kovachevski noted. mr/
