Kovachevski says doesn't know Palevski's creators, links him to opposition parties

Skopje, 7 December 2023 (MIA) - Prime Minister and SDSM leader Dimitar Kovachevski has denied accusations by VMRO-DPMNE that the authorities fostered the monstrous character Ljupcho Palevski who turned into Frankenstein.

"I don't know who created Palevski but let me say this: he belongs to those who accompanied him during the protests in front of the Government building, when Molotov cocktails were thrown at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, when crowds wanted to enter the Government during the adoption of the French proposal last year. Remember who was there? Palevski, the leaders of Levica and VMRO-DPMNE, media personalities and a member of the Commission for Prevention and Protection against Discrimination. I have said on several occasions that foreign entities financed all that. Therefore, if Palevski belongs to someone, it belongs to those who organized these events for an entire year," Kovachevski told 360 Degrees.

He asks why have a former leader of the Liberal-Democratic Party or the Demokratski Sojuz secretary general met with Palevski.

"What were they doing, what were they talking about. I have also asked French President Emmanuel Macron if he is aware of the kind of people that enter the French Embassy to Skopje," says Kovachevski.

He adds that VMRO-DPMNE and other political parties want to use the hideous act for political purposes, as they had done on other occasions in the past.
