Skopje, 5 October 2023 (MIA) - Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski and Spanish counterpart Pedro Sanchez met Thursday at the sidelines of the European Political Community summit in Granada, exchanging opinions and information on current developments in Europe and the Western Balkans.

Kovachevski briefed Sanchez on the latest political developments in North Macedonia and thanked him over Spain's continued bilateral support and the country's EU membership aspirations, the Government said in a press release.

Kovachevski also highlighted Spain's important role in the process of ratifying North Macedonia's NATO Accession Protocol.

PM Sanchez said Spain would continue to provide strong support to North Macedonia until the country reaches its ultimate goal - EU membership, reads the press release.
