Kovachevski: Once there is a document acceptable to both parties, will be shared with public and institutions
Prilep, 21 March 2022 (MIA) - North Macedonia's Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski said on Monday that our cooperation with Bulgaria has improved, especially following new governments in two countries and setting up new approach in discussions. Once there is a document acceptable to both parties, it will be shared with the public and the institutions, he told reporters on Monday after his visit to the company Vitaminka in Prilep. According to Kovachevski, there are always individuals who want to make matters worse, but the Macedonian and the Bulgarian governments oppose this and consider that they should cooperate in every field. "We've opened up a new process of discussions with Bulgaria, a new way of communication which is meant to not only increase trust among ministers, but among the societies as a whole. Working groups have been formed and they are already showing results. Scientific conferences have been held among universities, economic chambers are meeting, and transport quotas are increasing. Cooperation has been improved in terms of the previous period. Things are better, the official level of communication is improved and up to European standards. There are always individuals who want to make matters worse, but we and the Bulgarian government oppose this. We should cooperate in every field," Kovachevski said, reminding that Bulgaria helped in evacuation of the Macedonian nationals from Ukraine. According to Kovachevski, it was the Russian aggression against Ukraine that showed that Europe should be united and strong, and that must be done first among the neighboring countries.
