Kovachevski: N. Macedonia to be mapped by foreign investors in automotive industry with latest investment
Skopje, 11 August 2022 (MIA) - Electric vehicles e-GO will be produced in North Macedonia for the first time after the government at a session Thursday approved a government support for the multimillion German investment to be implemented, expected to greatly contribute to the Macedonian economy, Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski said. Writing on Facebook, he said the plant where electric vehicles will be manufactured is being built in the Tetovo free industrial zone. The construction of the new plant, Kovachevski said, provides job creation, contracts for cooperation with local companies, export of products with high added values, transfer of knowledge and technologies. "This is a chance for North Macedonia to be mapped by foreign investors in the automotive industry. The government is doing its best to secure better future for all our citizens," he wrote in a Facebook post.
