Skopje, 31 January 2023 (MIA) – The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has a plan to secure the commemoration of Goce Delchev’s birth anniversary. In terms of who is allowed to enter the country the Ministry abides by the Law on Foreigners, which allows them to forbid entry for a foreign national that poses a threat, said Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski on Tuesday.

Asked how many Bulgarian nationals are expected to attend the marking of Delchev’s birth anniversary on February 4, Kovachevski said that all figures, estimated by the security services of both countries, are being exchanged.

The PM reiterated that MoI has been instructed by the government to secure the event and ensure a peaceful commemoration, and expressed his conviction that they will manage to do so.

“The Ministry will take actions in line with the legislation and the procedures to ensure a peaceful commemoration of Goce Delchev’s birth anniversary,” said Kovachevski following his address at the first panel of the second day of the “Year of New Opportunities” conference – How to Turn Crisis into an Opportunity. ad/nn/
