Skopje, 29 August 2023 (MIA) - Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski and Bristish Ambassador to North Macedonia Matthew Lawson held a meeting in Skopje on Tuesday, expressing strong support from the United Kingdom for North Macedonia's further development, in line with the state's strategic integration goals.

Interlocutors concluded that the citizens of North Macedonia have a concrete opportunity, clearer than ever, to promote the quality of life, and the state has a concrete opportunity for economic progress, adding that such circumstances require political courage and maturity in deciding on further steps, the Government said in a press release. 

The two noted that the country is a significant factor of stability and security in the Western Balkans, as well as in a wider geostrategic context, highlighting the importance of further contribution to the security context.

PM Kovachevski expressed gratitude for the traditional, long-standing and sincere friendship with the United Kingdom, reflected in support for all key processes of importance for the democratic and economic development of the country.
