Kovachevski: Language and identity are neither negotiated nor will be negotiated
Skopje, 28 January 2022 (MIA) – Language and identity are neither discussed nor negotiated nor will be negotiated in the future, Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski said in an interview with the national broadcaster. “At this point there are only draft documents exchanged with the Republic of Bulgaria, which will be published when final and when the final framework is established, which will be the path towards final settlement of the dispute we have with the neighboring country,” Kovachevski stressed. He pointed out that as regards the talks themselves, the country has clearly established positions in the Parliament, backed by all political parties, and those positions are clear to the Government, to the MPs, the political parties and all citizens. “Our language is clearly enshrined in the United Nations, and also clearly enshrined in EU documents,” PM Kovachevski added.
