Kovachevski, Geer welcome new energy for cooperation with Bulgaria
Skopje, 26 January 2022 (MIA) – North Macedonia’s Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski met with EU Ambassador David Geer in the Government on Wednesday and thanked him for the support and opportunity to present the reform process in the country to representatives of the EU institutions, particularly highlighting the renewal of the dialogue with Bulgaria. PM Kovachevski told Ambassador Geer that European integration remains a priority of the new Government, as well as taking appropriate measures to overcome the health and energy crisis, which is a global issue. EU Ambassador Geer congratulated PM Kovachevski on taking the new office, voicing positive messages in relation to current steps taken by North Macedonia and Bulgaria, the Government said in a press release. Participants in the meeting said that reforms continue, particularly in the area of judiciary, fight against corruption and crime, and creating a modern and efficient administration, as well as policies from the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans, envisaged by the European Green Deal.
