Kovachevski - Abazović: North Macedonia and Montenegro are friendly countries, no open issues
Skopje, 1 March 2023 (MIA) - Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski met with Montenegrin Prime Minister Dritan Abazović as part of the Skopje Economic Forum on Wednesday.
 
 
The forum is one of the largest regional meetings organized by the Delphi Economic Forum and the Hellenic Business Association in North Macedonia, in partnership and cooperation with local companies.
 
The two Prime Ministers discussed relations between North Macedonia and Montenegro, concurring that relations continue to be friendly and free of open issues, the Government said in a press release. 
 
 
 
 
Kovachevski and Abazović exchanged views in terms of further deepening cooperation, based on traditional friendship and strong strategic partnership. 
 
In addition, interlocutors discussed possibilities to deepen economic cooperation in several sectors, trade exchange and joint appearance on third markets.
Kovachevski and Abazović also highlighted successful cooperation as part of NATO. Kovachevski congratulated his Montenegrin counterpart Abazović on Montenegro's successful chairmanship of the South-east European Cooperation Process (SEECP), and the two exchanged experience in light of North Macedonia's upcoming chairmanship as of July 2023.
