Kovachevski: 2022 to be a year of new challenges, as well as new joint success
Skopje, 31 December 2021 (MIA) – SDSM leader Dimitar Kovachevski extended New Year’s greetings in a video address to citizens.
“We’re leaving 2021 behind. A year of social recovery from the coronavirus, a year of mass vaccination, as well as a year of economic recovery. These days, when people and their homes are filled hope and faith, we embark in new beginnings full of motivation, to continue our commitment to achieving the goals ahead of us. 2022 will be a year of new challenges, particularly in energy and the coronavirus pandemic, but it will also be a year of new joint success on a social, and above all, economic level,” Kovachevski said.
He points out that the focus will be on economy and improving the living standard of citizens, and achieving the strategic goal of EU membership.
“Let’s improve the living standards of citizens with a focus on the economy, efficiency of institutions, responsibility and honesty. The minimum wage must continue to rise, and with it the average wage, and the pensions will rise, while unemployment will continue to fall. We will achieve this with responsibility and commitment, together with my team and together with you, the citizens. Our common future is a future in the EU and we will not give up this aspiration, we will work to fulfill this strategic goal,” Kovachevski stressed.
“May 2022 become a year of cohesion and unity. We’re leaving division and destruction behind. United in the present, so we don’t remain divided in the future. Let’s protect and build together our common home – the Republic of North Macedonia. Happy New Year 2022, wishing you good health, peace and joy,” said SDSM leader Kovachevski.
