Kovachevski – Krišto: Working together for stable Western Balkans in the EU

Munich, 18 February 2023 (MIA) — The Balkan countries need to join the European family, Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski and Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Borjana Krišto agreed at their meeting Saturday on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.

 

According to an official press release, at the meeting, which was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs Bojan Marichikj, Kovachevski and Krišto confirmed the friendly relations between the countries and their commitment to boosting cooperation in the near future.

Kovachevski congratulated Krišto on Bosnia and Herzegovina’s newly received EU candidate status, highlighting that the only stable and prosperous future of the Western Balkans is in the European Union.

 

In the coming period, the governments of the two countries will be focused on the promotion of economic cooperation, especially in the metal, food and textile industries, the release says. mr/
