Kovachevski – Kallas: Estonia's support to boost digital transformation

Munich, 18 February 2023 (MIA) — North Macedonia greatly appreciates the support from Estonia in sharing its experience and knowledge in digital transformation, which is expected to accelerate the development of electronic services provided by the country’s public administration, Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski said at his meeting with Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas on the sidelines of the 59th Munich Security Conference.

 

According to the government in a press release, at the meeting, which was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs Bojan Marichikj, PM Kovachevski thanked the government of Estonia for the strong and vocal support for North Macedonia’s integration into the European Union.

The two prime ministers said North Macedonia and Estonia, as NATO allies, would continue to actively contribute to the Alliance toward preserving peace and security on the European continent.

 

They also exchanged opinions on the impact of current geopolitical challenges on the integration of the Western Balkans into the EU.

 

Prime Minister Kovachevski stressed the government's commitment to the screening process as well as the commitment to the uniting all political stakeholders around the country’s EU membership. He also invited Prime Minister Kallas to visit North Macedonia. mr/
