Kovachevski – Drexler: Strong partnership between N. Macedonia and Germany, greater joint successes yet to come

Skopje, 5 July 2023 (MIA) – Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski held a meeting Wednesday with the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to North Macedonia, Petra Drexler, during which they discussed the impressions of the Prime Minister’s visit to Berlin.
According to the Government, at the meeting the PM voiced gratitude in the name of the Government and the citizens of North Macedonia, over Germany’s unreserved support for the democratic processes in the country, integration within the European Union, and more specifically over the support expressed in terms of the implementation of the negotiating framework between North Macedonia and the EU.
The Prime Minister also highlighted the importance of the Resolution adopted by the German Bundestag, voicing strong support for the country’s European integration, and recognizing the Macedonian culture, language and identity.
According to the Government, Germany’s firm and unequivocal support for the next steps of North Macedonia’s Euro-integration process was stressed once again at the meeting, as a unique opportunity ahead of the country.
The Prime Minister and the Ambassador voiced satisfaction that the Macedonian-German partnership is significantly and continually being upgraded, and, according to the Government, the developed economic cooperation is proof of that.
“At the same time, the significance of the Berlin Process and the dedication of our country in terms of further strengthening and deepening of cooperation was affirmed,” added the Government.
