Tetovo, 19 June 2024 (MIA) – The Kiel Macedonia company held an event on Wednesday on the launch of operations of its second production facility in the Tetovo free economic zone. It is a facility of 7,500 square meters, and it's Kiel Macedonia's second plant after the first one built in 2017 in Erebino near the Tetovo village of Zhelino. 

"The company started with 40 employees, we currently have 180, and should reach the goal of 300 workers in the two facilities, which produce seats for trains and buses," said the CEO Vladimir Stefanovski. 

PM-designate Hristijan Mickoski also addressed the event, noting that it was a great pleasure to have the opportunity to attend the launch of a new and upgraded story expressed in the new investment of the Kiel company.

"Amid such difficult times, I would say that it is not only a wise, but also a really bold decision to invest in the country. And in that sense, I, as a person who soon expects to get the parliamentary support for leading the next government, have strong intention to contribute and actively support any process that will mean new jobs, more money in the Macedonian economy, successful business stories that will confirm my sincere intention through investments, through development and technological progress to return the country to the people, and to create a happy future for everyone. The new government will be a partner of the businesspeople. One of the first measures the government will take in the first 100 days will be the reduction of taxes on profits. This will help business and more money will be provided in the economy. There will be cuts in administrative procedures and lifting barriers that hinder business," said Mickoski. 

In a statement to the media, Mickoski announced an investment worth EUR 450 million. 

"The second working day of the new government will be marked by this investment, which is worth about EUR 450 million, something that has never happened in our country, not only in the field of energy but in business in general, a huge foreign investment that will produce 20 percent from the total production of electricity, and it will be the renewable energy with which we take a step towards complete energy independence," he pointed out. 

According to him, in that way, the country will be energy independent in a few months. 

Director of AHK North Macedonia, Antje Wandelt, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Normak Investment Group, Aki Etemi, Kiel Group CEO, Jürgen Mill, and General Manager of Kiel Macedonia, Christian Schrand, also addressed the event.
