Kastriot Rexhepi reports to police station, says he was never missing
Skopje, 12 November 2021 (MIA) – Besa MP Kastriot Rexhepi reported Friday to a police station and stated that he was never missing but voluntarily and free of pressure went to a friend’s house with his family, in order to protect himself from publicity related to the Parliament session, the Ministry of Interior said on Friday. Regarding yesterday’s report related to K.R. in the Bit Pazar police station, the Ministry of Interior informs the person has come to the police station on his own will and stated that the report is untrue, namely he was never missing but voluntarily and free of pressure went to a friend’s house with his family, in order to protect himself from publicity related to the Parliament session, reads the press release. Besa leader Bilal Kasami said yesterday he reported to the MoI that a party MP was missing, calling on authorities to find him and explain why he was not available for 24 hours. Rexhepi did not attend yesterday’s Government no-confidence vote in the Parliament. After speculation about his alleged disappearance and kidnapping, he posted a video message on Facebook and later said he would face the media on Monday to clear the air regarding his failure to appear for the vote. Rexhepi has also urged Besa against making hasty moves that would damage party structures and its activists.
