Kasami: Besa in opposition, not part of government with DUI in it
Skopje, 16 November 2021 (MIA) – Besa leader Bilal Kasami has denied reports that other MPs from the party could decide on remaining on board with the parliamentary majority.
Kasami told Alsat TV party bodies have decided that Besa is now in opposition.
“The Besa lawmakers are part of the opposition by their free will. I have full confidence in the two Besa MPs, the same confidence as I had in the three before,” says Kasami.
He is certain that the 61st MP required for a parliamentary majority will not come from Besa.
“Besa believes that the Government should fall. An entirely different majority will be formed from that moment on, much more stable than the current one. The country needs a political government that will speed up EU integration,” adds Kasami.
The Besa leader does not exclude future cooperation with SDSM or VMRO-DPMNE but based on an agreement that would favor the country’s progress towards the EU.
Kasami excluded the option of Besa being part of a government with DUI in it, and considers the cooperation with the opposition parties of ethnic Albanians as a necessity.
