Skopje, 2 September 2022 (MIA) – Justice Minister Nikola Tupancheski and Serbian counterpart Maja Popovic met at the sidelines of the Open Balkan summit in Belgrade on Friday, and agreed on holding a joint conference for exchange of experiences and solutions related to the judicial system. Digitization of judiciary, procedure of electing judges and prosecutors, improvement of conditions in penitentiary institutions and enforcement of non-custodial measures will be in the focus, the Ministry of Justice said in a press release. Tupancheski and Popovic agreed on intensification of consultations and experience exchange in the coming period, in order to speed up reforms within the Euro-integration process, while highlighting the need to further develop goodneighborly relations.
